Upgrading biogas from wastewater to bio-methane: economic perspectives on a sustainable source of energy

INCOVER will hold its second Stakeholder Dialogue Workshop in the context of the Local Renewables 2018 conference that is taking place in Freiburg and Basel from 24 to 26 October this year.

In the highly interactive two hour dialogue session - organized by the ICLEI European Secretariat in the afternoon of 25 October - a group of invited stakeholders, many of them coming from the agricultural sector, will share their expertise on how bio-methane recovered by the innovative INCOVER technologies could successfully make it to the market.

The objectives are the following:

• Identify the obstacles to mainstreaming bio-methane;
• Address issues of economic and financial viability;
• Explore the uses and market for bio-methane (e.g. injection into the grid, and using it as a fuel in the transport sector (particularly for public fleets)).
