The 7th International Conference On Sustainable Solid Waste Management will take place in Heraklion, Crete Island, Greece, on 26-29 June 2019.
This Conference aims to address the significant issue of sustainable solid waste management through the promotion of safe practices & effective technologies. The Conference focuses mainly on modern solid waste technologies. It aims to stimulate the interest of scientists and citizens and inform them about the latest developments in the field of municipal solid waste management. Special attention will be drawn to circular economy and the valorization prospects & the products from solid waste, such as: biofuels, compost, materials, etc.
Emphasis will be placed on circular economy and the audience will try to tackle the issue of plastic waste, answering the question: which eco-efficient solutions to contribute solving the issue of plastic waste?
Our partner IBET will hold a presentation about “Converting High Rate Algae Ponds into phototrophic purple bacteria ponds for polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA – bioplastics) production from wastewater”. The presentation will include INCOVER project’s results.
