WaterEnergy NEXUS 2018 conference

The University of Valladolid was invited to present as a Plenary talk  the state of the art of Microalgae-based wastewater treatment in the context of municipal wastewater treatment, at the WaterEnergy NEXUS conference.The photosynthetic biogas upgrading developed within the INCOVER project and some of the key results obtained at UVa pilot facilities were presented. The conference WaterEnergyNEXUS represented an international platform to share and discuss key topics on such water issues with the presentation of nature-based solutions, advanced technologies and best practices. This edition was organized with the support of the UNESCO World Water Association Programme (WWAP) and of the International Water Association (IWA) and under the patronage of several scientific societies, associations and organizations. An additional aim of the next WaterEnergyNEXUS conference was to contribute to the overall goal of enhancing cooperation, integration and sustainable development in the Euro-Mediterranean region on critical topics of Water and Energy.
