Bioeconomy Matchmaking "From the molecule to the market"

Andreas Aurich, as a member of UFZ will attend WHC Bioökonomie Matchmaking “Vom Molekül zum Markt” in Halle, Germany on 7.3.2017. 

A 10 minutes presentation about the possibilities and challenges of life-cycle sustainability assessment (LCSA) in the biotechnology will be held. 

The presentation summarizes the opportunities of yeast-based bioprocesses for various organic acids (e.g. citrate, fumarate, isocitrate, succinate) developed by the UFZ. It informs on current projects INCOVER (substitution of renewables by wastes and WW) and CoKult (Co-cultivation of algae and yeast for bio-products).
