Vânia Morais holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. She worked in the operation of municipal wastewater treatment plants, including laboratory work and control of treatment processes. Since 2016, she works in the team responsible for the management of Porto’s WWTP operations and maintenance contracts.
Águas do Porto, E.M. is the municipal water utility company responsible for the entire urban water cycle in the city of Porto. This includes the water supply system, the sewer and stormwater drainage systems, the wastewater treatment, and the management of urban streams and the seafront. Its mission is to ensure a complete and effective management of the urban water cycle, creating economic and social value in a customer-oriented way, developing good environmental and management practices.
